Dodging the Bullet: John R. Adams III Worldwide Hunting Stories

by John R. Adams

Blurb

John R. was born into a family of gentlemen quail hunters in Camilla, Georgia. John R. (J.R.) began hunting at a young age. Duck hunting in England at night on the North Sea near bombers shot down during the war with Jack Rawlings, a prominent English industrialist, Russ Adams, his dad, an officer in the United States Air Force and Starlight Bishop, a veteran Englishman who survived the English and French defeat at Dunkirk in World War Two whetted the appetite of this impressionable young teenager. Drawn into weapons development in the Army, J.R. developed a keen appreciation of gun design and application. J.R. applied this knowledge to some situations not always open to the general public and has told them for all to appreciate. The common thread in this book is that J.R. was always dodging the bullet, sometimes even unsuccessfully.
