Martín & Meditations on the South Valley is the second full-length book of poetry by Jimmy Santiago Baca, comprising two long, semi-autobiographical narrative poems. It was published in 1987 by New Directions Press, with an introduction by Denise Levertov, poet and personal friend of Baca. It won the 1988 Before Columbus Foundation’s American Book Award for poetry, and the Hispanic Heritage Award for Literature in 1989.
