This rating is for the "Complete and Uncut" (can we just start revering to these editions as the "Uncircumcised editions"?). I thought the book was a little too long, and showcased King's number one flaw: lingering on useless points for too long that end up not going anywhere.
I actually managed to find a copy of the first original edition (only 800 pages!) at Powell's last year, so I'm going to read that one at the same time as the Uncircumcised edition and see how much is different.
I was very engaged for the first 2/3 of the story, but like most King books I've read, the main issue with this one is that it ends up dragging on far past the point where it should have ended and the ending was really weak anyway.
