This book was designed to provide extra reinforcement for the study of the United States. For each state there is an exciting and fun word search (in the same shape as the state), an outline map and a page of teaching suggestions. The teaching suggestion pages include a wide variety of activities: mobiles, collages, puppets, skits, time lines, short biographies, brochures, salt and flour maps, reports, and even simple jewelry making. The activities are tailored to emphasize the states' uniqueness.
