Igrzyska śmierci – powieść dla młodzieży z gatunku science-fiction napisana przez Suzanne Collins. Ukazała się 14 września 2008 w Stanach Zjednoczonych. W Polsce została wydana 6 maja 2009 roku przez wydawnictwo Media Rodzina.
Książka jest pierwszą z trzech części serii o tym samym tytule, druga część – W pierścieniu ognia ukazała się w Stanach Zjednoczonych 1 września 2009 roku. Trzecia część – Kosogłos miała premierę w Stanach Zjednoczonych 24 sierpnia 2010, natomiast w Polsce ukazała się 10 listopada 2010 roku.
W Stanach Zjednoczonych jest lekturą szkolną do klas VI.

I don't usually read dystopian novels and I am just beginning to appreciate the YA genre. I read this book before allowing my teen to read it and I was hooked. I couldn't put it down and read the series in less than a week. Collins is a master storyteller and her characters are vivid, fresh and very alive. Wonderful book that didn't lose its value when made into a movie. Brilliant writing.
